Facebook Feeds Not Working

I'm trying to get Momento to update my Facebook feeds. I've signed in through the app and it's telling me that everything is hooked up. I even disconnected, erased data and tried it again but no feeds. Also in the feeds tab I am only displaying Twitter which I set up some time ago. I checked the permissions on Facebook and everything seems to be in order.

Any ideas?

    Hi Shawn,

    Sorry to hear you're having problems.

    Facebook no longer regards updates with links in to be status updates. For this reason Momento will only download Facebook statuses, not links or media posted to your wall. If your statuses contain media/links, this could be the reason they are not downloading.

    We also recommend that you connect to WiFi when downloading your feeds initially.

    Thanks for the reply Ollie,

    Things were working fine till I opened the app a few days ago, it seems that there are no current facebook feed updates. When I goto the feeds tab it only shows the Twitter Feed and if I slide my finger down I can see it says updating Facebook feeds, but it does not list nor update any feeds. I have disconnected, removed data, restarted, re-syched and nothing. None of my facebook status updates contain links nor media and I am using my iPhone over a home wifi network. Any ideas?

    Hi Shawn,

    Did "Facebook" all of a sudden disappear from the Feeds tab? Or did it disappear only when you disconnected & removed data, and has since not re-appeared?

    The feeds just disappeared. After deleting and adding it a few times I
    managed to get it synched up yesterday. Now I just opened the program
    and noticed that none of my Facebook status updates from today are on
    my calendar. And I did hear the beep when it was done updating my fb
    feeds. Any ideas?

    I was so disappointed to notice that Facebook feeds with photos will no longer sync. I hope one day that's fixed. Not the end of the world though. ;)

    I'd like to find out how to "get" the updates from fB. I have "some" but when i open up the app it shows status lines from a month ago - i hit "feeds" and it does nothing. It doesn't update and bring in all the new ones over the last month - how do you tell it to update? what am i missing?

    Same problem too. Momento doesn't sync my Facebbok feeds from 2 weeks.

    Hi Guys,

    Can you track down where the statuses stopped importing, and if the last status Momento imported or the first one after contained anything other than plain text?

    Does you Facebook feed still show up in the 'Feeds' tab?

    i have no success on facebook feed.

    no facebook tab also, but there is facebook update status on the background. ;D

    it appears that feb 13th is the last time i got a fb update.

    i'm not really sure how to 'get' updates to the app as i have had this issue before and then out of nowhere it updated...yet i have not had updates in awhile and i don't know what i did last time to get the updates again this time around. all i try to do is go to "feeds" at the bottom and that's when i see 2/13 as the last date. then if i go to feeds in the upper left corner i see fb...and its greyed out - it acts like it syncs or updates and then nothing happens. i know when it fixed itself last time fb turned blue when i hit the feeds button on the upper left corner.

    hope that helps so you can fix this.

    Hi. I can't get my facebook status updates to come through. It says it's connected properly but no status updates have ever come through. I have disconnected and re-connected to facebook but still nothing so far. My twitter feed is working fine. I don't know exactly what everyone means by a Facebook "tab" but on my Feeds page, it only shows Twitter.

    it did an update on the fb feed but nothing new came up - its still stuck at 2/13. i don't do twitter so only fb is affected for me. any idea when this will be fixed? will it include all the "missing" info when its back up and running?

    hi, thank you the developer for concern.

    i guess my problem is not about Facebook API limitation, my problem is facebook can be add but "not shown as a tab" like other service. - -

    anyway, my facebook account is 10 times less active than my twitter.

    i hope you can fix it on the next update ;D

    i deactivated the account and reactivated it and it seems to be up to date with FB - which is the only feed i have - I'm looking forward to the updates to prevent the problem from happening again. Thanks for getting "on" it and working to resolve the issue so quickly!

    my feed is back to NOT working. it updated everything when i removed fB and then added it again but it won't "just" add the new posts. just wanted you to know its not fixed for me.

    Hi Robyn,

    We haven't made any changes to fix this problem yet - however we are working on it. It may be the case that it is intermittent as the issue lies with a Facebook API limitation.

    Just figured I'd add some more input on the feeds issue.

    As of this evening, I was still having issues with my feeds not downloading so I did the following;

    Removed Version 1.0.3 from my iPhone via iTunes, and re-installed.
    Upgraded to Version 1.0.4 from App Store on Phone.
    Logged back into; Facebook, Twitter & (Last.FM, which I signed up for to try and see if those feeds "Hearted Tracks" would work.)

    Feeds Tab only Displays Twitter, Although when scrolled, I could see it displaying text only that it was Updating Facebook. Still there were no Banners for Facebook or Last.FM, only Twitter.

    I logged into my Twitter Client and posted a test tweet which Momento had no problem updating. That seems to be the only client that is correctly updating feeds as I am not getting any "Facebook Status Updates" or "Last.FM Feeds" on my Calendar.

    Hope this info might help in some way, as the venting is helping me a little. I'm sure that if there was anything else I could try you will post it here.

    Hi Shawn,

    Please could you provide us with your Last.fm username so we can attempt to recreate the issue? This will help us diagnose the problem.

    We believe the Facebook issue must be to do with the issue raised here: https://momento.tenderapp.com/faqs/social-feeds/troubleshooting-fee..., which we are still trying to resolve.

    It may take some time for Momento to finish updating Facebook, once it has completed downloading your Facebook updates then the Last.fm updates should begin downloading.

    If you would like to provide your Last.fm user name privately, please email support[at]momentoapp[dot]com.

    Please, facebook since march the 28th doesn't updates statuses! I also have lost all my data (all the moments, all the photos, not good... really!) tryng to disconnect and reconnect the account, I also disinstalled Momento from iTunes then I reinstalled it again, but nothing changes. Only twitter updates correctly.
    What can I do? Thing I'm gonna erase this app from my iPhone... but it's not good...I paied for it!!
    So?!?!?!
