Troubleshooting feeds which are not downloading

General

If you are experiencing problems with any of your feeds not downloading, we recommend disconnecting from the service and reconnecting:

  1. Go to 'Settings'
  2. Select the service which you are having problems with from the list of social feeds
  3. Tap 'Disconnect'
  4. Tap 'Disconnect and Erase Data' (this will delete all data Momento has downloaded for that particular feed)
  5. Restart Momento
  6. Reconnect to the social feed.

Facebook

Momento downloads your status updates from Facebook. Facebook defines a "status update" as being anything you post on your wall that is less than 400 characters and does not contain links or media attachments.

Known Issue: Facebook feeds failing to download
Details: We have had reports from a few of our users that Facebook feeds are failing to download, despite being able to connect successfully. We have identified that this is an issue with Facebook and their API, occurring on a very small percentage of accounts. A bug has been submitted to Facebook and their development team are looking in to the issue. Statuses (including those from the past) should begin to download once the issue has been resolved without the need for us to issue a software update. We're monitoring the issue closely and hope Facebook can resolve it promptly. Sorry for the inconvenience. (Updated 17 June 2010).

Twitter

Due to limitations in place by Twitter, Momento can only download your last 3,200 tweets when downloading your past tweets. Until Twitter lift this restriction we cannot download your complete account history.
