Troubleshooting 'Find my location'

If Momento is struggling to find your location it could be for three reasons...

1. Momento doesn't have permission to use your location

When you first ask Momento to find your location you will be prompted to give the app permission to use your location. This is a security measure put in place by the iPhone OS. If for any reason you chose to deny permission, Momento will be unable to find your location.

To reset your permission preferences in iOS 4:
iPhone 'Settings' > General > Location Services > Ensure 'Momento' is set to 'ON'.

To reset your permission preferences in iOS 3:
iPhone 'Settings' > General > Reset > Reset Location Warnings (This will reset the location warnings for all of your applications.)

2. The GPS module is unable to get your location

This will happen if something will be obscuring the GPS signal, often the case if you are indoors.

3. You have no data connection (cellular or Wi-Fi)

Momento requires a connection to the internet to retrieve the place names for the co-ordinates it receives from the GPS module. Check your connection to the internet and try again.
